ROADS
Mr. Kaminski reported that the 2002 International is scheduled to be replaced in 2011.  Mr. Kaminski quoted a projected cost of $164,000 for a new truck purchased on state bid.  He would like to get the truck ordered so that the truck can be ready for delivery in early 2011.  The 2003 Sterling is scheduled to be replaced in 2012.  This may be delayed depending on the availability of funds.

Mr. Kaminski reported that the repaving of Radcliffe Road is scheduled for 2011.  Mr. Heald has inspected Radcliffe Road and believes it to have a very stable base. The road will not need cement stabilization before paving, saving the township about 40% off the cost.  Concord Township will be contacted to see if they would be interested in working together on the paving of Radcliffe Road.  Leroy Township has already stated that they would not be interested in working with us on this project.  South Bascom and Sawmill Drive are scheduled for this year.

Mr. Kaminski reported that the backhoe and roadside mowers are on a 20 year replacement cycle.  The roadside mower is scheduled for replacement in 2012 at an approximate cost of $70,000 and the backhoe is scheduled for replacement in 2014 at the approximate cost of $90,000.  It appears the backhoe, which is more critical if down for repairs, may need to be replaced before the roadside mower.

Mr. Kaminski reported that he would like to replace one of the 3 lawn mowers this year.   We currently have an Ex-Mark, John Deere and Bobcat.  The Ex-Mark was purchased in 2006.  He is looking at replacing the 2000 Bobcat with a new Ex-Mark that has a hopper that would save about 3 days during fall clean up.

Mr. Heald reported that the "beet product" which is a mix of salt brine, calcium and beet juice does not work as well as the "magic liquid" from Wheeler Landscaping.  In addition, if you spray the salt and stock pile it, it will turn into a block in about a week.  As a result, Mr. Heald does not recommend the township use the "beet product".

Mr. Heald reported that Melzer Fuel Service can supply a temporary fuel tank for $150 while the existing tanks are sandblasted and re-painted.

TOWNHALL
Mrs. Pope reported that she has been calling for quotes of architectural plans for replacing the front stairs.  She has received a quote from Mr. Bonner.  Rooftop, Inc. was out today to inspect the project and will be sending their quote.  David Summers will be out next Thursday to discuss the project.  The cost for the architectural plans will be approximately $300.
